Independence Day

In the United States, Independence Day (commonly known as the Fourth of July) is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Quoted text:
Something very interesting should go here, but I can't think of anything right now so I shall just keep typing until I fill up nearly enough text, although nearly enough is not yet enough so I shall keep going and going.

How about a new paragraph, that should make for interesting reading. Oh yes, one must punctuate and pause and breathe during writing, lest one falls over from suffocation. I think we're done.
Some more text afterwards to show where the quoted text starts and finishes. Can't finish yet, must keep typing because in some blogger templates there is a bug after quoted texts and/or lists that upsets the line-spacing in subsequent paragraphs. So if the lines in this paragraph look too tightly packed together I will know the bug is also in this template and should be fixed pronto.
